State-of-the-Art Care Located Close to Home

Community Cancer Care is an Indianapolis, Indiana based private health care organization that partners with rural and underserved hospitals as well as those in urban locations to provide their patients with cancer care and programming. Founded in 1983 by William Dugan, Jr., MD and Sara Edgerton, MS, Community Cancer Care has formed partnerships with more than 20 Indiana hospitals and provides them with state-of-the-art oncology care for their patients.

Community Cancer Care employs 20 medical oncologists/hematologists as well as one psychiatrist dedicated to quality-of-life efforts who work alongside local physicians and nurses in the communities to provide the latest care and treatments available. This enables patients to receive their treatment close to home without having to travel long distances to larger cities. Unlike other oncology practices that travel out to smaller cities to provide cancer treatment, Community Cancer Care has set up an infrastructure that is present 365 days a year. The program provides a whole treatment system for their participating hospitals.
